Hello and welcome to all. My name is Cheryl Wood and I'm pleased to be offering beginning Yoga classes in the Garberville / Redway community in Southern Humboldt County, CA.
Our small but vibrant community of Garberville / Redway, California is not only blessed by some of the most beautiful redwood forests and wild and scenic rivers in the nation, but is also home to a thriving community of artists, musicians, and progressive minded individuals. We are blessed to have a great many talented people who have devoted much of their lives to the arts of the mind and body, of healing, health, and meditation.
One vibrant aspect of our community wide consciousness is expressed in the many Yoga classes that are offered by a variety of registered teachers and body workers throughout the area. We hope you'll join us promoting the practice of Yoga in our community and we invite you to explore the many psychological and physical benefits that Yoga has to offer.
About Cheryl
After moving to Garbervillle from the Bay Area, I attended the nearby Heartwood Institute's three week Yoga Intensive training program. I was privileged to train under Gayna Uransky, a certified Iyengar teacher whose nearly 40 years of teaching experience offered me invaluable instruction and discipline. After completing my training and receiving my RYT (Registered Yoga Teacher) certificate i began teaching beginning yoga classes in Garberville at Sohum Yoga and Inner Qi Healing Center.
Though not currently engaged in weekly classes I am available for private lessons and/or small groups.
